Synopsis

I'LL TAKE MANHATTAN PART 6 - REQUIEM FOR SELINA KYLE The Trickster walks down the streets of New York City, cheerful, but his good mood is threatened when Catwoman appears to confront him about the papers she stole from him, the forms that would transfer Selina Kyle's fortune into whichever accounts they chose, which turned out to be fake. He has the real ones on him, and he offers them to her in exchange for the bounty.  She strikes him with Catwoman's Whip, but the papers he was holding turn out to be fake too. He has several manila folders that might hold the real papers, but Catwoman refuses to play his game. She takes all the envelopes.   The Trickster says he's disappointed. In Gotham City, they talk about Catwoman like she's a real force to be reckoned with, but she's a common swindler. Carlino is upset that Catwoman hasn't killed Selina Kyle like she said she would. Carlino has decided to do the job himself, and he and his boys will be waiting for Selina Kyle when she goes to contest the liquidation of her assets tomorrow at nine o'clock.   The Trickster reveals he had another envelope with the real papers inside, but Catwoman leaves instead of fighting him for it.   She wonders where she messed up.   At nine o'clock the next morning, everyone is waiting outside the Securities and Exchange Commission building--the Trickster, Barnaby Finnian, Carlino and his boys, even Peter Randolf.   At nine o'clock exactly, Selina Kyle's body falls from the roof of the building and lands on the hood of Carlino's car. Catwoman shouts down, "You wanted Selina Kyle dead? You got Selina Kyle dead." as she is shown in flashback stealing a dark-haired, female corpse from the morgue. The New York City Police Department surrounds Carlino and his men as the Trickster sneaks into the building with the paperwork, Finnian distracted by a green mist.   Catwoman jumps down to confront the Trickster. That ends when they are also almost captured by the police, and they escape together.   The Trickster is impressed by her, but he knows that the Selina Kyle she threw off the building was already dead. He doesn't want to think about what she had to do to get that corpse. Catwoman denies it, but he's a con artist and he picked up her tells. He knows Catwoman and Selina Kyle are one in the same.   He confesses that he likes her, and he didn't steal her money--he funneled it into the Gotham Relief Fund because he thought that's where she would want it to go. Catwoman kisses him on the cheek.   Catwoman stares out at the ruins of Gotham, and she knows the right thing for her to do right now is to go home.
